16 July 2008 Surfers back on the waves

Billabong Pro Action in the Water; the Waves Arrive in Jeffreys Bay

JEFFREYS BAY, South Africa (Wednesday, July 16, 2008) – Round 3 of the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay commenced at 7:15 this morning. With conditions in the three to four foot (two metre) and building range and 32 of the world’s best surfers still in contention, today’s action should be exceptional.

Contest officials are endeavouring to run all 16 heats of Round 3 and the first four heats of the Quarterfinals today. Should they accomplish that feat, only 11 heats will remain before a Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay Champion is crowned.
